Best breakfast in NZ and the friendliest hosts!
Best breakfast in NZ! We only had a short stay here and we wish we could have stayed so much longer. The hosts were accommodating and friendly, the room was spotless and comfortable. We had an early start in the morning and the breakfast we were cooked was perfect for our busy day ahead. We had a lovely stay, thank you Nikau Lodge!

Delightful, Great location, delicious breakfast, Friendly and welcoming owners.
Amazing place to stay. Excellent food very delicious breakfast. Close to most sightseeing attractions and activities. Mike also gave me a lift to train station. He gave me recommendations for eating out and how to get to local sightseeing I had booked.

A perfect stay in Kaikoura!!
We stayed two nights in Nikau Lodge with Karen and Mick, who made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Our room had the most incredible views of the ocean and mountains. Breakfast was cooked by Mick each morning and was delicious!! We could walk to the esplanade for restaurants and shops. Thank you to you both for making our stay so welcoming and comfortable. If we come back to Kaikoura we'll be back to stay again.

Absolute perfection.
This stay was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend it enough. Our room was stunning and we felt so comfortable and at home. The breakfast was incredible with great conversation and company as well. Do not delay or look further — if you get the chance, stay here. By far my favorite stay in all of New Zealand.
